This test is to aid in the diagnosis of patients with latent Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. This test is effective in individuals who 
have received BCG vaccination.

Collection Instructions

Specimen Volume: 1 mL whole blood
Fill up to fill line on each tube- remember the vacuum is not strong so be careful to look
at the volume. Make sure it is filled up to the black line.
Note: Maintain QTF PLUS tubes; Nil (gray), TB1 (Green),TB2 (Yellow) and Mitogen (purple) tubes at room temperature after collection.
The tubes must be filled to the black fill mark (~1mL)
Gently mix the tubes 10 times to ensure that the entire inner surface of the tubes has been coated with blood to solubilize antigens on the tube wall. This is a very important step in the QFT-Plus assay as poor mixing may lead to erroneous results.
