Collection Instructions

Container/Tube:  Gold-top tube or Mint Green (Li Hep) Tubes
Specimen:  1 mL of serum or plasma
Transport Temperature:  Refrigerate
Collection Instructions: 
After collecting blood in tube mix well by inverting tube gently 10 times. For gold-top tubes let blood stand for at least 30 minutes so blood will clot and then centrifuge. For mint green-top tubes mix blood well and centrifuge immediately. Do not open tubes – Avoid exposure of specimen to atmosphere.
