Monitor industrial exposure. This test is not intended to monitor chromium levels in diabetic patients or in patients with suspected chromium deficiencies.

Collection Instructions: In the nocturnal total parenteral nutrition patient, the sample will be drawn "fasting" in the afternoon, before the nocturnal solution is started for the evening.
 
Note:  Separate plasma immediately after collection.
