Specimen: Collect stool in a stool container and inoculate card .
Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.
 
Specimen Collection:
The specimen (small fecal specimen) is applied to the guaiac paper of the Hemoccult Slide as a Thin Smear using the applicator stick provided. Patients should collect from bowel movements on three different days. Please make day of collection on card before sending to the lab. The completed card should be returned to the laboratory no later than 10 days after first sample collection.
