Collection Instructions

Submit an entire timed urine collection in container provided. No preservative. Collect timed urine as follows:
1. Void (empty bladder completely) and note time.
2. Discard urine.
3. Collect all subsequent urine in container provided.
4. End collection at specified time (usually 2- 24  hours).
5. Include last void in container.
6. Refrigerate specimen during collection and send specimen refrigerated.
7. Starting and ending times of collection are required on request form for processing.
