Clinical Info

Pinworm (Enterobius vermicularis) is a small thin white worm that lives in the colon and rectum of an infected person. The most common symptom of infection is anal itching, particularly at night, as worms migrate from the intestinal tract of the host and lay their eggs in the anal area. Optimal specimen collection is in the early-morning hours.
