Container/Tube: Lavender-top) tube or (Yellow-top ACD tube, Solution-A) tube  or White-top, PPT-potassium) tube
Specimen: 0.7 mL EDTA plasma or  ACD plasma or PPT plasma ( 0.3 ml min)
 
Note: Separate plasma from cells within 2 hours of collection.
 
Alternate Specimen: 0.7 mL CSF, submitted in a sterile, plastic, leakproof container, frozen
