Clinical Info |
ABO-incompatible living donor renal transplantation has become an accepted treatment for end-stage renal disease. Two main factors appear to be important when crossing the ABO barrier, the donor organ A/B antigen expression and the amount of recipient anti-A/B antibody. Antibody titration can be a valid guide for apheresis treatment, which is aimed at eliminating the anti-A/B antibodies in the pre-transplant period and maintaining a low titer in the post-transplant period. Transplant titrations should be tested at room temperature and at IgG phase. |
