This is a multiplex molecular panel which detects the following organisms: Influenza A, Influenza B, RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus), SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), Rhinovirus/Enterovirus, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, and Chlamydia pneumoniae.

Collection Instructions

Nasopharyngeal Swab  1. Collect specimen using a flexible shaft nasopharyngeal flocked swab. 
                                       2. Gently slide swab along floor of nose with very light pressure to nasopharyngeal wall to allow the swab to absorb secretions.
                                       3. Rotate swab slowly two to three times and withdraw it.
                                       4. Place the swab into a tube containing 3 mL of viral transport medium (UTM or VTM) close tightly.
                                       6. Send specimen refrigerated. 7. Maintain sterility and forward promptly.
   Note: Specimen source is required on request form for processing. Conjunctiva Swab
