Result Interpretation
<0.60 AU/mL (negative): Absence of
detectable CMV IgG antibodies. A negative result generally
indicates that immunity has not been acquired. If exposure to CMV
is suspected despite a negative finding, a second specimen should
be drawn and tested on <1 to 2 weeks later.)
0.60-0.69 AU/mL (equivocal): The equivocal specimen should be repeat tested. In case the result should remain in this range after repeat testing, a second specimen should be drawn.) ≥0.70 AU/mL (positive): Presence of detectable CMV IgG antibodies. A positive result generally indicates either recent or past exposure to CMV.) |
