Container/Tube:  Gold-top tube(s)-Preferred, 
                            Mint Green (Lithium Heparin), or Lavender EDTA plasma is also acceptable
Specimen:  1 mL of serum or Plasma
Transport Temperature:  Refrigerate
Collection Instructions:
Note:  1. Indicate serum or plasma on request form.
2. Label specimen appropriately (serum or plasma).
 
AND
 
Spinal Fluid
3 mL (minimum volume: 1mL) of spinal fluid in a screw-capped, sterile vial. Send specimen refrigerated. Maintain sterility and forward promptly. 
Note:  1. Indicate spinal fluid on request form.
2. Label specimen appropriately (spinal fluid).
