Container/Tube: Light blue-top (3.2% sodium citrate) tube
Specimen: 0.5 mL citrated plasma
Transport Temperature: Frozen
Collection Instructions:
1. If no other tube is drawn, draw a discard tube.
2. If there is a delay in transport, spin down, spin plasma again, and send citrate platelet-poor plasma. Double-centrifuged specimens are critical for accurate results as platelet contamination may cause spurious results.
3. Fill tube completely.
4. Mix by gently inverting several times.
5. Send aliquot frozen.
